Maidan Council Passes On Composition Of Cabinet Led By Yatseniuk For Maidan's Approval (21:45, Wednesday, February 26, 2014)

The Maidan All-Ukrainian Association Council has passed on the Cabinet of Ministers composition led by Member of Parliament Arsenii Yatseniuk, chairman of the Batkivschyna All-Ukrainian Association faction, for the Maidan's approval, activist Yevhen Nischuk has announced from the stage on Independence Square [Maidan Nezalezhnosti] in Kyiv.

Yatseniuk is proposed for Prime Minister.

The Council suggests electing Borys Tarasiuk (Batkivschyna), a member of the Verkhovna Rada's committee on European integration, as the Vice Prime Minister for European Integration, and Vinnytsia Mayor Volodymyr Hroisman as the Vice Prime Minister for Regional Policy.

Doctor and public figure Olha Bohomolets as the Vice Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy, and MP Oleksandr Sych (Svoboda All-Ukrainian Association) as a Vice Prime Minister.

MP Oleksandr Myrnyi (Svoboda) is proposed for the Agrarian Policy and Food Supplies Minister.

Deputy chairman of the Svoboda faction Andrii Mokhnyk is proposed for the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources

Founder of the Kyiv-Mohyla Business School, President of the Kyiv Economy School Pavlo Sheremeta is proposed for the Minister of Economic Development and Trade.

Former fuel and energy minister Yurii Prodan is proposed for the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry.

Leader and co-organiser of the anti-government protesters' car run (AutoMaidan) Dmytro Bulatov is proposed for the Minister of Youth and Sports.

Former Economy Minister and State Treasury chief Oleksandr Shlapak is proposed for the Finance Minister.

Secretary of the Rada's committee on supremacy of law and justice Pavlo Petrenko (Batkivschyna) is proposed for Justice Minister.

Former Ambassador to Finland and special envoy of the head of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe for conflicts Andrii Deschytsia is proposed for the Foreign Affairs Minister.

Acting Internal Affairs Minister Arsen Avakov is proposed for the Internal Affairs Minister.

Distinguished Artiste of Ukraine, activist Yevhen Nischuk is proposed for the Culture Minister.

Coordinator of the Maidan's medical service Oleh Musii is proposed for the Healthcare Minister.

President of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy Serhii Kvita is proposed for the Minister of Education and Science.

MP Liudmyla Denisova (Batkivschyna), former labour and social policy minister is proposed for the Social Policy Minister.

MP of the Verkhovna Rada of sixth convocation Ostap Semerak is proposed for the Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Candidacies for the Infrastructure Minister is being yet discussed, specifically that of President of the Association of International Road Transport Carriers of Ukraine Leonid Kostiuchenko.

For the Defence Minister they are considering several candidacies, including a representative of the Afghan war veterans.

Candidacies for the Industrial Policy Minister, for the Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Public Utilities, and also the Minister of Revenue and Duties were not sounded.

Moreover, MP Andrii Parubii (Batkivschyna) is proposed for the National Security and Defence Council Secretary, and journalists Viktoriya Siumar for the NSDC Deputy Secretary.

Public figure, activist Yehor Sobolev is nominated as the head of the Lustration Commission, and journalists Tetiana Chernovol for head of the Anti-Corruption Bureau.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Rada will consider appointment of the Cabinet on February 27.
