On July 28, the board of directors of the International Monetary Fund took the decision to allocate a loan worth 10 billion of special drawing rights (USD 15.15 billion) during the forthcoming 2.5 years in the frames of new stand by program, the IMF said.
At the same time, according to the report, Ukraine will at once obtain 1.25 billion special drawing rights (USD 1.89 billion).
The IMF also cancelled previous co-operation stand by program that was approved on November 5, 2008 for the period of two years.
The total amount of the previous program was USD 16.5 billion.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, on July 3, the International Monetary Fund announced agreement with Ukrainian authorities on resumption of co-operation and possible allocation of new stand by loan of about USD 15 billion.
