According to the parallel vote count by the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko, presidential candidate Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko and presidential candidate Party of Regions leader Viktor Yanukovych gain 46% of the vote each with 85.7% of protocols calculated.
First Vice Prime Minister Oleksandr Turchynov, who heads the election headquarters of Yulia Tymoshenko, announced this at a news briefing.
"With 85.7% of protocols calculated, 46% of the vote is gained by Yulia Tymoshenko, 46% of the vote by Yanukovych," he said.
He said he would not give basis points to preserve the intrigue.
According to Oleksandr Turchynov, Yulia Tymoshenko has won convincing victories in 17 administrative regions of Ukraine, and Viktor Yanukovych has won victories in ten administrative regions of the country.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, presidential candidate, leader of the Party of Regions Viktor Yanukovych won 52.17% of the vote, and presidential candidate, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko received 42.60% of the vote, according to results of vote count of 11.24% protocols of district election commissions.
