Egypt has decided to provide Ukraine with humanitarian aid for fighting flu.
Ukrainian News learned this from a statement by the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the statement, on December 14, Wafaa Bassim, the first deputy foreign minister of Egypt, met with Ukrainian Ambassador to Egypt Yevhen Mykytenko and informed him about the decision of Egypt to provide Ukraine with the humanitarian aid.
The statement reads that the Health Ministry of Egypt has allocated to Ukraine 500,000 of medical masks and 5,000 doses of vaccine against flu.
The sides have agreed to decide without delay the question of delivery of the humanitarian cargo to Ukraine.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Health Ministry of Ukraine expects the second wave of the A(H1N1) flu epidemic in the country in December 2009 - January 2010.
